Easy French Bread
Ingredients
• 1 kg flour
• 20 g salt
• 10 g sugar
• 10 g dry yeast
• 550 ml warm water
• 50 g butter/shortening
• 1 egg (for brushing)
Steps
1. Mix yeast, sugar, and warm water. Let foam 5–10 mins.
2. Combine flour and salt, then add yeast mix + butter.
3. Knead 10–15 mins until soft. Let rise 1 hour.
4. Divide into 8 rolls, shape, and rest 30 mins.
5. Slash tops, brush with egg.
